What is United We Shiver?
A plunge into a frozen lake, where the brave souls that are willing to take the dive get pledges which are donated to the nonprofit of their choice. Dr. Shawn Alderman is showing his bravery by doing the PLUNGE to raise funds for Magnus.

In those first moments after a PLUNGE in the icy lake, the brain’s only task is to be calm be calm be calm as every inch of skin sings with icy pain. Once you realize that you aren’t dying, you stave off the cold to reach the air – that feels worse!!! Not sure why, but the brave souls who plunge emerge exuberantly smiling, minds wiped clean, shivering is exercise, and somehow a great jolt to the immune system.
